Day 3 - Task 3 - World Championships

Task 3 - 169.1km to Leveland airfield (via a turnpoint. 56Km entry start, 3 x 20 min starts. The turnpoint was a 10Km radius)

Its unbearably hot and stays this way because we are not getting ‘high’ – this is not typical ‘Texas’ flying conditions - I'm flying with 2 camelbak’s and that is just about enough fluid for the flight.

Another good day for the team today with 5 out of 6 in goal ..... The day switched off and it seems half of the comp were at goal and half not! I landed approx 17km short in the same field as Canadian Bernard Winkelmann. The rest of the Brits made goal - we could hold on to top place.
