Tigger gets High

A long day on the way to Dusseldorf.... The journey to Canada was complicated as we had to drive to Dusseldorf to catch a flight that would take the glider! (The brit airlines will no longer accept hang gliders - if you have golf clubs you are ok).

LTU are a good airline that don't even charge for taking the glider as long as its below 40kg and not much over 4meters when short packed. I managed to get the aeros down to 37kg in a 6kg mylar lined padded bag made by Aeros as a special request and my spares, harness and battens were packed in 2meter bag also made by Aeros (and at short notice).

The flight was 9hours non stop with the most amazing views over Greenland, Iceland and the Rockies. Take off weight was 250 tonnes including 50 tonnes of fuel which we used most of!
